TRAINING: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

The problem

Our client was a group of SME’s who were not realizing their optimum profit levels owing to their wanting Human Resource processes, knowledge and people in general. The team you have on board determines how well your organization performs. It is for this reason that The People are a valuable asset to an organization (Even for us at ISCS Consulting). It became paramount to these small business owners to get the knowledge they needed to streamline their operations in the field of Human Resource Management so as to realize their full potential with regard to their profit making. They entrusted this mandate to ISCS Consulting.

The Solution

ISCS Consulting had an interactive session with the business owners where our facilitator took them through the Meaning and Core elements of Human Resource Management to have them all understand what Human Resource actually means and the role it plays in their organizations, regardless of the size. He took them through the current trends in the field of Human Resource Management along with some practical case studies of companies like theirs that thrived under the heat of Effective Human Resource Management. They got to understand the basics of good Human Resource Management Practice and the roles played by both Management and Employees in ensuring the success of the organization at large. The team had interactive group discussions among themselves and exchanged notes and experiences to further enable them to understand the extent of how important it is to have the right people and processes aboard their businesses.

The Outcome

The program had a significant bottom line effect!! The team was able to realize the short comings they had in their businesses and also see the repercussions of these short comings in the long run. They were even able to point out what they had been doing wrong and effectively come up with an action plan on how they were going to resolve them. Each team wrote down their agreed action and completion time frame, they appointed their implementation team and set a suitable review date for follow up and correction where necessary. With stream lined Human Resource Management practices, these small business owners are assured optimum profits and eventual growth of their businesses.

TRAINING – STRATEGIC AND BUSINESS PLANNING

The problem

Strategic planning is a tool for organizing the present on the basis of the projections of the desired future. That is to say that a strategic plan is a road map that leads an organization from where it is now to where it wants to be in five or ten years. Our client in this case is the group of SME’s who either had no plans projected for the future of their businesses or had poorly forecasted plans and a fraction of them had plans well set out but had trouble implementing those plans for this reason or the other. ISCS was contracted to assist these business owners with the problems they were facing with regard to Strategic Planning and implementation.

The Solution

ISCS Consulting had a fruit bearing and interactive session with this team. Our facilitator took them through the meaning of Strategic Planning and how to set the Mission, Vision, Goals and Core Values for their businesses. With the foundation set right, we geared into Strategy Formulation where they got to identify their strengths and weaknesses and how to manage them before getting into Strategy Implementation. We once again had interactive group discussions where they got to share experiences and challenges and got to brain storm on how to mitigate them. It was a very healthy interaction to say the least

The Outcome

Each individual business got to identify the challenges they were facing with regard to Business and Strategy Planning. They were able to list out their problems and challenges in an open forum where the other participants would help in coming up with solutions and methods of mitigation. They were well guided by the facilitator on location and wound up with easy to implement methods of mitigation. Each team agreed on the necessary action to take, set out time frames for the action and appointed an implementation team from among them. They communicated their review date for guidance and correction where necessary.
